This handmade Balıkesir halı features three large octagonal medallions across the field. Each medallion contains a bold geometric motif with hooked and cross-like elements in deep indigo, brick red and cream. The field is a warm ivory framed by a narrow sawtooth inner guard and a broader outer border with repeating lozenge and star motifs on a brown-red ground. Natural wool pile, hand-knotted construction, and short twisted fringe on the short edges.
